Dr. R. K. Saxena, Pujya Seth Bhaisahab, Bade Bhaiyya ji

R K Saxena Ji

Dr. R. K. Saxena, Seth Bhaisahab was the eldest son of Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj. He, along with his younger brother Dr. V. K. Saxena, was declared the acharya of Sri Ramashram Satsang by Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj in 1981. From that very day till his nirvan he untiringly worked for Satsang. The mission of his life was the work of Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj. Every minute of his life, every action, every deed, even all happiness and sorrows, ups and downs were guided by Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj. He saw the glimpse of his father, Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj, in all ways of life. All his thoughts were surrounded by Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj. He could not see anything without Babuji. His vision, His mission, His ambition, His achievements, His worship, His actions all were Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj. The responsibility which was given to him by Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj, he fulfilled it very vigilantly, giving all due respect to all elders (in age) who were of Pujya Babuji’s time. He loved all young one’s, children and everyone who came in contact with him. In his last days he suffered from cancer with much agony but till the day when he breathed his last, he regularly attended Puja and satsang for the benefit of others. Such was his dedication, such was his devotion.

Pujya Dr. R. K. Saxena was born on 3rd July 1931, Thursday at Bulandshaher, a district in UP. His mother’s name was Smt Sushila Devi. His mother died when he was just 2 years of age. He possessed a very attractive and charming personality. Whoever came in his contact was impressed by him. All satsangi brothers as well as family members and relatives, all carried a deep respect and love for him. Some called him Bade Bhaiyya ji, some Seth Bhai Saheb, but all young one’s called him Tauji. Tauji was thus the most popular with most children and young one’s.

He did his BSc from Agra and MBBS from KGMC Lucknow in 1960. He was a very good doctor and had a very positive approach. He joined Provincial Medical Service, Uttar Pradesh in 1960 in kanpur district in Amraudha. After that, most of his posting were in western district like Meerut, Dehradun, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bulandshahar and finally he retired from Ghaziabad in 1991.

His Paramarthik work came in full swing in 1981, when he was posted in Muzaffarnagar district hospital. Param Pujya Babuji visited this place when he was unwell and stayed there for 15 days. His stay awakened his urge and from that day he took up the responsibility of service to Pujya Babuji, who was keeping bad health those days.

He was initiated by Pujya Tauji Maharaj, Dr. Sri Krishna Lal Bhatnagar ji Maharaj, but Tauji very kindly lighted the lamp of love for Pujya babuji in his heart in his very childhood. He always said, “You are the worthy son of your worthy father and you will get everything from your father”. The seed of this paramarthik love for Pujya Babuji was very well sowed in his heart from his very childhood, and though he gave him Diksha in 1950, but the centre of his love was Pujya Babuji. Seth Bhai Sahab respected Pujya Tauji Maharaj very much, but he loved Pujya Babuji.

During the lifetime of Pujya Babuji Maharaj, Seth Bhaisahab served him and Pujya Amma ji with full love, care and devotion. During the illness of Pujya babuji Maharaj, when he was posted in Meerut, he daily visited Pujya babuji Maharaj. Going to Meerut in the morning and coming back to Ghaziabad in the evening became his daily routine. Being near to Babuji Maharaj, in the western districts, he took proper care of his father. He always accompanied Pujya Babuji to Fatehgarh taking him in his car. His second son Dr. V. K. Saxena accompanied him to centres like Patna, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Samastipur etc for Satsang purpose. But, after the nirwana of Pujya Babuji, Seth Bhaisahab visited all centres very regularly without fail till his last breath.

Parmarthik Achievements: Parmarth was weaven in his personality as his daily routine. Till Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj was there, his routine of life was just as Param Pujya Babuji wanted him to do. He did what Pujya Babuji liked him to do and Pujya Babuji was so much pleased by his service that he said many times, “If GOD ever gives me son, give me like Seth and Dinnoo”. “Agar Ishwar Aulad de toh Seth Dinnoo jaisa de”. In our sant mat, it is a known principle that the blessings of one’s Guru plays a great role in achievement. Param Pujya Babuji said that it is the path which cannot be attained without the blessings of the Buzurgs (the spiritual ancestors). Blessings bring remarkable upliftment in a person. These blessings were always with Seth Bhai Sahab. He was a blessed man and hence with those blessings he attained the highest glories of spirituality. He initiated 22 persons as his disciple, out of whom 15 persons were initiated in the presence of his brother, Dr. V.K.Saxena and 7 persons were initiated alone.

The magic that he possessed in his spirituality and the faith he had in Param Pujya Tauji Maharaj (Dr. Sri Krishna Lal Bhatanagar Ji Maharaj) and Param Pujya Babuji Maharaj made him very popular among the people of every age. He obeyed every word of Pujya Babuji and always did what he wanted him to do. His devotion, surrendering himself to their feet and untiring work of Satsang made him immortal as became the ideal for the coming generation.
